It's 2015 & i'm back

I've decided to revisit my blog, the first thing I noticed is that I was particularly cringe-worthy the first time around. I'm pretty sure I had some sort of point to make while clearly not knowing what I was talking about. One can only assume I was trying to create a blog & shove it down people's throats.

A few years have passed and I have decided to come back & blog, I am intending to use this as my own personal ranting space. I don't feel that I am overly interesting at all, this is just my space to jot down, remember & keep a hold off things going on in my life.

If anyone is reading this, then I feel for you.
I'm going to set myself a personal goal to blog at least once a week for the entirety of 2015.
Perhaps pick a different subject every week to talk about, jot down some ideas for the next week, possibly (probably) keep a note of things I have to do as I often forget.

This week's blog is all about me

I'm at a point in my life where I just can't figure out what to do with my life. I don't have a particularly well paid job, I don't exactly like my job that I am doing, although I do enjoy the people I work with (bar a few, but as they say there's always one). I have spoken to my girlfriend and friends about looking for a new job, the thing is... I don't know what or where I want to go next, there are many things I enjoy but none that I have any relevant qualifications in to actually venture into that field.
I live with my girlfriend & we have a dog, cat & bills.
I would love to go back 13 years & tell my younger self what I know now & tell him all that I know now. Procrastination is a wonderful thing, wondering what if & how.
I never enjoyed school once I left primary, there were of course subjects I enjoyed but as a whole I didn't enjoy the experience.
I was bullied from the offset, maybe that was due to my background, I was a lot more vulnerable than the others & the probably sensed that. In school I was a quiet child, I sat back & got on with it.

Anyway back to my point before this becomes a history lesson..
I would love to go back to college & start over, I just can't bring myself to do that (maybe due to lack of confidence) I would love to be a film analyst, like a movie blogger (hey.... idea for next week). Ideally that is the career path I would like to follow, another ambition of mine is to own a bar, I don't know why, I just think that I would love that sort of thing.

My life isn't all doom & gloom. I have a fantastic girlfriend Rochelle, whom I couldn't imagine being without, a beautiful Siberian husky called Meeka & a little black cat called Phoebe. We all live in a 3 bedroom house in a coastal town, it's amazingly beautiful. On the whole I am happy, very happy. I have some very good friends, a brilliant family circle & a lot of interests to keep me busy outside of that 9-5 routine.

A few things that I like
- Computer games
- Reading
- Watching movies
- Going for walks
- Supporting West Ham
- Being a WWE fan
- Getting into UFC
- Going out to visit historic landmarks & other touristic things

That's a few I jotted down, I also am thinking of looking into conspiracy theories, just last week my boss visited us in work & was telling us about his theory about 9/11 which I did find quite interesting & decided that if I got time I would definitely look into that. *NOTE TO SELF remember

I'm going to leave this here for tonight & go make some dinner, defintely before I make my next blog i'm going to look into other people's blogs, to get some ideas on how to compose a blog, writing styles & tips. While working on my grammar & spelling.

This has been therapeutic

Tweet diddly-deet-deet

ABUSING TWITTER

 Time to discuss

I for one abuse my twitter account, I talk complete nonsense about absolutely nothing in particular. My tweets range from West Ham support/abuse *depending on the current score*, MW3 abuse *no support needed*, things I see or say during the day. It's a place where I don't feel like I'm being judged. I don't care how many followers I have, I use those 140 characters to talk about things I care about.
Obviously not everyone uses twitter for this purpose, there are the marketing aspects to it, create a bit of buzz around the world by creating a hashtag and trying to get it trending.
I only follow people who I deem interesting, these are the people who's rambles or products I want to know about.

Footballers, some are brilliant ala @CarltonCole, @themichaelowen, @waynerooney, @Official_MattT to name but a few.  Some of them are complete and utter stains @Joey7Barton for instance is one, he quotes Nietzsche for example. Why? To make him sound intelligent like he's actually worth listening to, he's not that violent guy we witnessed at the end of last season. In actual fact he is, his tweets this morning directed at America and the Lance Armstrong incident are a farce. Many young people listen to what these people have to say, it's condoning racism, deeming a nation stupid because they continue to donate to a charity. (I am aware of the scandal surrounding Lance Armstrong). What next from this bambling buffoon?

@TheRealAC3 is another one, although fairly new to the twitter scene, could be blind to how big twitter actually is, it's not like you're in the training room and can have banter with all the boys, there are journalists following you waiting for you to fuck up and pounce on it. The thing is there's always going to a critic.
Look at what's happened before, people have been arrested for comments they've made on twitter, this is now mainstream media it can't be taken with a pinch of salt, make a mistake and that's it, you could end up in the cells for a night or worse.

I've went off topic from what I originally intended to discuss, solely blamed on Joey Barton and his idiotic tweets this morning, I don't feel that I've fully discussed this properly, I may continue this on in my next blog over and out

EA Sports it's NOT in the game

This is my second attempt at "blogging", it's pretty much just me having a rant about what is 'grinding my gears' at the minute, currently that anger is directed towards those lovely fellas over at EA.

It has been well documented and proven over the years that EA when on form can produce a top notch game, look at NHL 94, Tiger Woods PGA Tour '10 & so on.
Which brings me to my point FIFA 13 is an absolute shambles, they don't listen to the consumer the same people who buy this game year in and year out (like myself). Firstly the EA servers, it's the same in every EA game, the servers are crap to put it nicely. They disconnect constantly, sign you out when you're in the middle of a match and get a DNF (punishment which they included in the game due to quitters). I've been trying to build an ultimate team at the minute, I only get so far and the servers disconnect on me therefore disabling me from playing that mode.
Take a hint from other successful games and how they run their servers, yes it may be the 'fastest selling sports game ever'  but that title will not continue if they do not face up to their issues and fix the problems. It's not only FIFA 13 that has this issue, FIFA 10,11 & 12 all carried this same problem on release. Also NHL 13 is exactly the same, I want to play on-line, in fact I've played full price for the game to get the on-line pass, to enable me to PLAY ON-LINE and when I try, it's like EA take a shit in my mouth and say "no chance mate".

If this issue isn't addressed and resolved, I for one will not be purchasing FIFA next year, dare I say I may even cross over to PES *shudders*. I cannot say enough for FIFA off-line, the manager mode is brilliant, the be a pro mode is fantastic, in-fact that overall is my favourite part of the game this year.

I just want to be able to take full advantage of all the game modes when I feel free to do so, not when EA decide it's okay for me.
I mean I can't enjoy Ultimate Team, I'm having to wheel and deal on the iOS app because I can't get near the mode sometimes while on my xbox.
Initially I blamed my ISP, but after a quick internet search I found it was not only me who was suffering the problem.
SO after that I decided to tweet EA themselves @EASPORTSFIFA for some answers, low and behold no answer.. Why you might ask yourself would they not address the issue, well they're to busy asking followers what country they're favourite players are from etc. Like it's all a bit of a laugh to them, well I suppose I am the idiot because I bought the fame, lined their pockets, they don't care now, they got what they wanted from me. The next time they'll care about me is when they're pushing DLC on me.

I suppose some would say you get that from all game twitter accounts. NO is the correct answer there, the Battlefield  twitter account is brilliant. Tweet them with an issue and they get back to you with an answer on what's going on. In some cases they even apologise for what's happening.

I spend hard earned money on my games and consoles, I at least expect when I have an issue that I will be given an explanation as to what's happening.
I could say I vow never to buy another EA game again but that's an outright lie, they'll put on some fancy advert, make the game look beyond amazing and then when you spend the money on it take it home put it in the console BAMMM that's when it hits you that it sucks.

I know this is all over the place and probably makes no actual sense, I just came here to vent a little frustration, I feel a bit better now maybe I'll go play FIFA...................*5 minutes later*

Sons of Anarchy is it declining or am I just an idiot with a keyboard?

I think it's safe to say the title pretty much covers what will be discussed below.

Sons of Anarchy has only started really so it seems a little unfair to judge the shows just yet.  Although in having said that, Sons of Anarchy S5E01 was brilliant another stroke of genius by the legend that is Kurt Sutter, unfortunately I was let down a bit in episode 2. I understand he stated the show will run at a slower pace, that's fine it's just there is too many sub plots going on and not enough screen time.

A prime example of this is when Opie punches Roosevelt just to get sent down with the others. That for me personally was a cop out by Sutter, I and many others expected Opie to really have his own storyline, the man has problems and lots of them, the club has ruined his family, taken his wife and his father, made him estranged from his kids and how does Sutter deal with that, punch a cop and come back to the club centre fold. Well no, it just can't be that easy Sutter, we as fans expect character development. Happy is another character constantly overlooked, last nights episode involved him grinning. That's all just a grin, this is a man we are supposed to fear above all others, he's "ruthless" when in actual fact I fear Filthy Phil more. There's been no development of him, he's just another member of the club. Also the wedding scene, granted a fancy church wedding is not within the style of the show but in a brothel and only because Jax is handing himself over to the cops.

I don't get it? Ever since the finale in Season 3, SoA has been on a decline, granted Season 3 wasn't exactly great (I didn't like the Irish stuff much). There has been moments in Season 4 where it was brilliant, that I will not deny, that whole Clay storyline was sublime. Season 5 just isn't cutting it for me and I'm sure many others agree, Kim Coates acting when his daughter was burning to death was horrible it sounded like he was having an orgasm while being raped by a bear.

Damon Pope & Nero are two fantastic additions to the cast and I see them working well this season. I am not fussed on these Nomads, the storyline I'm sure will pick up and the reason behind their activity is sure to be explosive but I just don't feel it, it has a whodunnit feel about it and that should only really be reserved for the soaps. (p.s who's shagging Kat Slater?)

Season 5: Episode 3 preview

Watch that preview before continuing to read otherwise it probably won't make much sense.

I personally can't wait to see these prison scenes, I think this is the turning point which will have me right back on the Sutter bandwagon, if only done right. If you see that Clay is with Bobby while meeting the cartel, that's just dangerous right there, I'm 50/50 on whether he wants the gavel back. Personally I think he'll do anything to get back there, that's his life, that's all he knows, without that he's nothing. He didn't get his payout from the cartel so now he needs the club.
This cartel C.I.A link is boring me now, I honestly thought it would be dropped, it was a nice ending to last season but how can Jax really be president and run the club his way when he has Clay's shit dragging him down. That's gonna end up in tatters, The Irish will see him as a rat, the club might do as well (although perhaps not as it was for the good of the club).

There's just something about Nero that it don't quite get he has a motive, he's up to something. It's all a little bit too coincidental that he so happens to poke (yes I said poke) Gemma, then helping Jax out. I think he's done his research, may even be an undercover cop, who knows. Christ he could even be Juice's uncle three times removed granny's nephews rat's owners son.  I don't know and I just don't trust him (that'll be the skeptic in me).

I suppose it's time to wrap this up, this has been my first ever blog, I appreciate you taking the time to read it if you have. Feel free to let me know what you think.
